Would you like to print a label from an Apple (Mac OS X)? Follow the steps below. <\/p>\n

USB Printer installation<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Turn on the printer and connect it using a USB cable<\/li>\n
  2. Open System preferences<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Go to Printers & Scanners<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Add a new printer by clicking the +<\/strong> (plus) icon<\/li>\n
  5. Select the desired printer<\/li>\n
  6. Open the menu at Use and click Select software<\/em><\/strong>
    \n\"\"<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Search for Zebra ZPL Label Printer<\/em><\/strong> and click OK<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Now click on <\/i>Add<\/i><\/b> eand wait for your printer to be added<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Network Printer installation<\/h4>\n

    To use your printer over a network, you must first determine the printer’s current IP address.
    \nYou can do this by printing a configuration label. Read more     here<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Turn on the printer and connect it using a network cable<\/li>\n
    2. Open System preferences <\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>on your Mac<\/li>\n
    3. Go to Printers & Scanners<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Add a new printer by clicking the + (plus) icon<\/li>\n
    5. Click the IP tab<\/strong>:
      \n      \"\"<\/a>
      \nAddress<\/strong>: Enter your printer’s current IP address here
      \nProtocol<\/strong>: Make sure \u201cHP Jetdirect – Socket\u201d is selected here
      \nName<\/strong>: Enter your desired printer name<\/li>\n
    6. Open the menu at Use <\/em>and click Select software<\/em><\/strong>
      \n      \"\"<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n
    7. Search for Zebra ZPL Label Printer<\/em><\/strong> and click OK<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n

      Printer settings and printing preferences<\/h4>\n

      To ensure that your label is printed correctly, please check the settings and save them so that you don\u2019t have to change them every time. Are you using Label LIVE software? If so, you can skip the steps below and get started straight away in your software. <\/p>\n

      Setting the label size<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Open the file you want to print and go to the print dialogue box<\/li>\n
      2. Click the menu next to Size<\/em> <\/strong>and select Custom sizes
        \n        \"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/li>\n
      3. Set the desired label size and set all margins to 0 mm<\/li>\n
      4. Double-click on the name and give it a custom name
        \n        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
      5. Then click OK to save the format<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        You have now set a new label format. Do you use multiple label formats? Add them in the same way. <\/p>\n

        Printer and printing preferences<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. In the print preview window, open the menu under Layout<\/em><\/strong> and click on Printer features<\/em><\/strong>
          \n          \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
        2. Go through the settings under the tab General<\/em> <\/strong>:
          \n          \"\"<\/a>
          \nResolution<\/strong>: Should always be set to 300DPI.
          \nMedia tracking<\/strong>: These are the sensor\/calibration settings;
          \n– Continuous<\/span>: Used with a continuous roll of tape that can be cut to any length.
          \n– Web sensing<\/span>: For rolls of die-cut labels with a gap in the middle..
          \n– Mark sensing<\/span>: Use this for rolls with black stripes on the back or rolls with tags.
          \nMedia type<\/strong>: Should be set to Thermal Transfer Media<\/em>.<\/li>\n
        3. Now go to the tab Printer settings<\/strong><\/em>
          \n          \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
        4. Check the following settings:
          \n          \"\"<\/a>
          \nDarkness<\/strong>:This is the density(heat) of the print head, set this default to 25.
          \nPrint Rate<\/strong>: This is the printing speed, don’t go above 5 inches\/sec.
          \nPrint Mode<\/strong>: Here you can specify what should happen after a label has been printed;;
          \n– Cutter<\/span>: With this setting, the labels are cut off. (Does not work with the SMS TAG-ID2 or 3)
          \n– Tear-Off<\/span>: Use this setting if you want to tear off the labels.
          \nYou can leave the rest of the settings at Printer Default <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

           <\/p>\n

          Saving the current settings<\/h4>\n

          To save time, you can save these settings as a preset on your Mac.<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Go to the menu next to Settings<\/em><\/strong> and select Save current settings as preset
            \n            \"\"<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n
          2. Give the current settings a name and press OK
            \n            \"\"<\/a>
            \n<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            You have now saved the settings and are ready to print!<\/p>\n
