{"id":562008,"date":"2022-07-20T12:22:34","date_gmt":"2022-07-20T10:22:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rebo.nl\/support\/non-knowledgebase\/uncategorized\/printhead-cleaning\/"},"modified":"2026-06-01T12:22:38","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:22:38","password":"","slug":"printhead-cleaning","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.rebo.nl\/en\/support\/sms-r1-en\/maintenance\/printhead-cleaning\/","title":{"rendered":"Printhead cleaning"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Printhead cleaning<\/h4>\n<p>Follow the steps below to clean the printhead of the SMS-R1:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn the printer ON.<\/li>\n<li>Eject the ribbon cassette and remove it.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the printer OFF.<\/li>\n<li>Open the transparent rear cover fully to access the tape roll compartment.<\/li>\n<li>Take a 3M (isopropyl alcohol) cleaning wipe from the package and unfold it.<\/li>\n<li>Reach into the printer and use the cleaning wipe to wipe the printhead from left to right several times.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Warning:<\/strong> Do not use sharp objects (e.g. a screwdriver or your fingernails). Only use your fingers\/hands and the soft cleaning wipe.
