Printer is connected via the network.<\/span><\/h4>\n

When the printer is connected via a LAN connection and the SMS-R1 Manager does not display any supply information, check the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The PC is on the same network as the printer.<\/li>\n
  2. Port 9101 is enabled.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Printer is connected via USB.<\/span><\/h4>\n

    When the printer is connected to your PC using a USB cable and the SMS-R1 Manager does not display any supply information, check the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The USB cable is connected correctly.<\/li>\n
    2. The latest printer driver<\/a> and firmware<\/a> are installed.<\/li>\n
    3. On your PC, go to Printers & Scanners<\/em> and remove the SMS-R1 printer. Then connect the printer to a different USB port. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      User does not have sufficient permissions.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      Have you completed the steps above and are you still unable to see the material information? If so, you may not have sufficient permissions. <\/p>\n

      1. On your PC, go to Printers & Scanners<\/em> and select the SMS-R1.<\/li>\n
      2. Now click Printer Properties<\/em> and go to the Security<\/em> tab.<\/li>\n
      3. Ensure that the following permissions are allowed for the relevant user(s):
