Designing and printing labels

Create a label #

  1. Open the SmartLabel app and click on New
  2. Enter a name for your label
  3. Enter the desired width and height of your label
  4. Select the media type: Gaps or Marks*
  5. Your label has now been created, and you can start adding text, barcodes, images, etc.
  6. Finished designing? Click the Print button to open the print window.
  7. Printer not connected yet? Click the red “Not Connected” button in the top right corner.
  8. Then select your printer and click Connect to establish a connection.

* Are you using a roll of labels with space between each label? Then select Gaps.
Are you using a roll of labels with black stripes on the back? Then select Marks.

Printing a label #

When printing, you have a number of settings that you can manage.

  • Number of copies: This allows you to print multiple copies of a single label.
  • Orientation: If the orientation of your label needs to be different
  • Density: How much heat the printer uses to print (default is 10)
  • Print speed: The speed at which printing takes place (default is 3)
  • Horizontal offset / Vertical offset: You can add margins here if your design is not perfectly positioned on your label.

Are you ready to print? Then press the blue Print button!
