Is your printer printing a label, but the print is faint or “smudged”? Read below for the possible cause and solution.
Printhead temperature / darkness setting too low #
Click the printer icon in the bottom-right corner of a label and check the value shown for Darkness.
Is the value set between 0 and 10?
Increase the darkness setting step by step until the desired print quality is achieved.
Print speed too high #
Click the printer icon in the bottom-right corner of a label and check the value shown for Speed.
Is the speed set to 10 cm/s and is the darkness setting set to 13–14?
Lower the speed step by step until the desired print quality is achieved.
Power supply is defective or not original. #
Check the voltage of the power adapter (and cable).
Does this match the specifications shown on the label on the back of the adapter? Also check whether the correct/original power adapter is being used.
